The Food Bank of Delaware serves the entire state of Delaware. The Food Bank of Delaware offers programs for children, WIC recipients (Women, Infant, and Children) including low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and infants and children up to age five. The Healthy Pantry Center is open weekdays from 7:30AM to 3:30PM. The DISCOVER CAFÉ at the Food Bank of Delaware is open Mon - Fri from 7am to 2pm. For other service hours. consult the website. There are Three Ways To Help: Volunteer, Donate (food or money), and Advocate. The Food Bank started at Westminster Presbyterian Church by Retha Fisher, Director of Community Services, formed a Food Closet Study Committee in 1977 to help improve the church’s hunger-relief efforts.
