Our mission is to provide comprehensive and compassionate HungerCare whenever and wherever it is needed to safeguard the health, well-being and productivity of food-insecure Kanans and their children, as well as senior citizens, the homeless and the chronically ill among us.
Company Overview
The Kansas Food Bank is the chief source of food for anti-hunger programs around the state. Last year we moved more than 10 million pounds of food through our Wichita warehouse to more than 200 agencies (think food pantires, soup kitchens and shelters) to feed more than 32,000 Kansans a week. In addition, we feed more than 6,400 kids a week through our Food 4 Kids backpack program, which provides two-days worth of healthy, nonperishable food to kids who may not otherwise eat over the weekend.

The Kansas Food Bank is one of 202 food banks nationwide that are members of Feeding America, the national organization of food banks.

The mission of Feeding America is to feed America\'s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.
